Knowledge Booster Training Bytes - Virtuoso Studio Visualization and Analysis

Let's talk about Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis. It’s an analog and mixed-signal display tool that includes the graph windows (Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis window and distributed plot window), calculator, and results browser. It allows you to display waveforms and take measurements after running simulations.

The latest release of Virtuoso Studio comes with some exciting new features for graphs. These include the ability to apply a fixed-y marker to plots, link subwindows of a graph window, and a new plotting window called the distributed plot window.

The distributed plot allows you to plot waveforms using a distributed process on a local or remote machine, which is useful when plotting large simulation datasets as your Virtuoso session does not freeze. You can watch this video on the distributed plot.

The saved simulation results (signals) can be accessed using the results browser. This displays a hierarchical arrangement corresponding to the design hierarchy, making it easier to locate and manage simulation data.

The Results Browser displays signals, and the calculator creates, stores, and evaluates expressions for these signals in a separate window.

Graphs are displayed in various windows and subwindows within the ADE waveform window's graph display area.

It might be more helpful to watch Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis in action rather than just reading about it. Therefore, I recommend checking out our Training Bytes video channel. It offers a plethora of helpful videos that guide you through launching and using the software.

All related videos are grouped in a channel for easy access and viewing.
